Raghav Khandelwal, DMD
Meet Dr. Khandelwal
Dr. Raghav Khandelwal is a California native and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego. He was accepted into the Navy Health Professional Scholarship Program and then enrolled at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, he was accepted into the Navy’s Out-Service training program and came to the Bay Area for his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of the Pacific/Highland Hospital/Alameda County Medical Center, Children’s Hospital, and Kaiser Hospital in Oakland, California.
Following residency, he was commissioned as an active-duty Naval Dental Officer in 2014 and was stationed at the Naval Medical Readiness Training Command in Lemoore, California. He held multiple leadership positions and was selected to become the Department Head of the Dental Clinic from 2019-2022 resulting in an early promotion to the ranks of Lieutenant Commander. He also served as a part-time attending at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego working on orthognathic surgery cases with the residents.
After completing his active duty tour, he separated from the Navy, returned to the Bay Area, and has joined WCDVOS. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, with practice focused on dentoalveolar surgery, implants, and outpatient anesthesia.
Outside of surgery, Dr. Khandelwal enjoys spending time with his wife and family. During his free time, he likes playing basketball, hiking, wine tasting, traveling, and attending sporting events.
