Dr. Marre is a California native who grew up in the East Bay. He graduated from De La Salle High School before attending California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Biotechnology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Dr. Marre completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Louisville. During his training, he also earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed an intensive General Surgery internship within the Department of Surgery.
Throughout his six years of residency, Dr. Marre received advanced training in facial reconstructive surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, complex dental implant procedures, orthognathic surgery, ambulatory anesthesia, and facial cosmetic surgery. After residency, he returned to California to complete a one-year cosmetic surgery fellowship sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery while practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in San Diego.
Following the completion of his training and the start of his family, Dr. Marre returned to the East Bay to serve the community where he was raised. He is currently on the medical staff at John Muir Medical Center and serves on the trauma team, treating patients with complex oral and maxillofacial surgical needs. Dr. Marre is also serving his third year on the Board of Directors for the Contra Costa Dental Society, where he currently holds the position of Secretary.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Marre enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, running with his dog Finn, visiting the beach, and hiking local trails.
As both a parent and longtime member of the community, Dr. Marre takes pride in providing compassionate, patient-centered care. His practice focuses on wisdom tooth removal, dental extractions, bone grafting, dental implants, pediatric oral surgery, facial trauma treatment, and outpatient anesthesia.
As a dual-degree surgeon holding both DDS and MD credentials, Dr. Marre combines extensive dental and medical training to provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care. He looks forward to helping patients achieve optimal oral health and restoring confidence through personalized treatment.
